| The Alpine Team is a group that promotes and trains
young skiers in the sport of downhill racing. New
participants need to be able to turn and stop. This is a
learn-to-race program rather than a beginner ski
program. Fee: The program fee is $70 if paid by
December 31 or $75 thereafter. This fee does not include
lift tickets.
Practices: Practice will be held on Saturdays
from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning on December 31,
2011. Coaches will be made up of the Brainerd Warriors
High School Downhill Team. Participants and coaches will
meet at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Ski Patrol Building.
Helmets are required for all races at practice and
races.
Races: Races will be held on Sundays beginning on
January 1, 2012. Again, remember helmets are required.
Our hill has been assigned a series of race bibs. You
may pay $10 and keep your race bib or borrow a bib for
the season. Your number will stay the same for the
season. Attending races is not required.
Ski Gull's local races are scheduled for January 15
and February 12. Please plan to attend and participate.
We are in need of registration help, timing officials,
race set up, timing assistants, course breakdown,
general helpers, and several pans of bars/cookies. We'll
have treats and awards for everyone!
Year End Party: Craguns will host us for a
pool party on Monday, March 5.
USSA: USSA offers a "try out" program. If you
have questions regarding this program, please contact
High School Mike Stone.
Parents: Parental Support is welcomed and
needed for the success of our local race club. Those
